Happy 100 Posts and Music Monday

Today we're saying "Happy Actual 100 Posts" here at Nathaniel Benjamin. That's one hundred random and possibly no scenes, waste of valuable Internet space, uploads from me.
Are we going to stop anytime soon??
Hell no!!!!

So on with business . . .
Its Music Monday and here are the TOP FIVE Tunes rocking my world ATM
@Number one this week its the amazing:- Pendulum's cover of Calvin Harris's "I'm not alone"
2. Cascada's Evacuate The Dance floor
3. The Gaslight Anthem - 59 Sound
4. 3oh!3 and Don't trust me
5. MSTRKRFT featuring John Legend- Heartbreaker

All are available on YouTube, check them out now if you haven't heard them!
Here's this weeks number one, preformed at Glasto this on Saturday Calvin's cover is approx 4 Mins in!

Flipp'in amazing!!!

So today I've been in the garage re-building the many parts of my Astra. Finally we managed to replace the water pump, that's another tick in my book!
Then I sporadically decided I wanted to go for an after dinner walk, so that's what I did. Armed with my Walkman off I went, enjoying the delights of the summer time, Polgooth'ness!
Now I'm sat watching a very interesting documentary on BBC 4 about Concorde, what an amazing plane she was.
God I sound old today ha ha ha.
Speaking of old, its my birthday next week, stay tuned on details about that.
Breakfast tomorrow, joy!
xoxo

Brand New Poke'mon!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the new series of Pok'emon starts next month on Cartoon Network!
Actual amazing, I can't flipping wait!
There's just something about this Animi program. Not only is it catchy, addictive and set up with an amazing story line. The theme tune ain't bad either!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

With the bases to teach kids about friendship, loyalty and being brave, strangely originally based around insect catching, Pokemon is possibly the best cartoon to come out of Japan . . . Ever!
I wish I was Ash!!

Thriller Friday

Who'd a thought that by the end of this week the whole world would be talking about the death of Michael Jackson!

Now I don't wanna go off on one, like everybody who's got a social network profile has been doing today, but I do feel that I should share this with my fellow readers.
6 Months ago if some mentioned MJ you thought of, Child molestation and law suites.

Today on Friday 26th June 2009 as people woke to Sky News this morning, suddenly they realised how much the guy has given us. Just take a look at the back catalogue MJ has produced over the years!
Not only has he inspired so many of today's greatest artists the "King of Pop" who remember sold out everyone of his "Goodbye" tour dates in minutes, is no longer with us.
I can't help but feel 'we' the public and the media have forced him to work to death. Desperate for money, a ridiculous 50 tour dates in the UK and a new studio album at the age of 50, this guy died young thanks to us. Mealy misunderstood, I find it funny how everyone seams to have suddenly forgotten about what they used to think about this amazingly talented performer and made a complete U-turn.

I'm not a religious person TBH but my thoughts are with the Jackson family, especially his three children and a urge the media to stay far, far away from them and give them all the space and time they need. It is the least we could do for them, after all his blood is on all our hands!

The most popular theme I can relate today with is when Princess Diana past away. Now that may seam extreme, but every person I speak to are relaying "Where they were when they heard the news" and that is exactly the same!
Fame is a scary thing and Michael himself has been quoted saying he would end up the same way as Elvis, in an early grave!

From me Michael:- Thank you for entertaining us through out your short lived life. Your music will live on forever, always inspiring new artists and keeping the industry alive.
God may you Rest In Peace.

Transformers Tuesday!

#Oh Oh Evacuate the dance floor!#
More on that later!

Even though I've seen Transformer 2 once before, I'm off to the pix to watch it again tonight. With mixed opinions across the board, I think its fucking wicked. Two and half hours of Megan Fox, half naked, with an amazing story line and flipping cool effects. Its rather funny as well you know!
If you haven't seen it yet, I strongly recommend it, even if you go on an Orange Wednesday it two for one then!
I can safely say I've seen most of the new releases in the cinema atm and Transformers craps all over the likes of Terminator and Star Trek!
With Harry Potter 6 on the horizon go now before it gets to busy!!!
Still can't tempt you???

Maybe that will?

At work was bloody busy today, how lame? And its not even summer yet!!

Chris Brown got off lightly didn't he?? Why is it that celebrities and MP's seam to be exempt from the law. Fraud, Domestic Violence, GBH= Community service, WTF??

Love x x x

"Music Monday"

Ewwwww Boggie! . . . . . Okay its gone!

Hello people I'm back after a short little 'brake' from blogg'ing.
Throwing ourselves straight into the action, brand new features ahoi!!

Its 'Music Monday' here on Nathaniel Benjamin, where I bring you the freshest of fresh, the best kept secrets and the 411 from the new music world.

Mz Bratt, standing for "Be Real And Teach Truth" is defo my number one this week for up and coming artists. Her new single 'Who do you think you are' is flipp'in amazing. Be shout ot to @Grimmers for enlighten me to this T-une!

Also this week CALVIN EVERYWHERE.
Mr Harris's big one has started to do the rounds. "Ready for the weekend" is proving to be actual spangle-tastic as well. As a true Calvin Harris fan I think its amazing, but I do feel some others may need a little more persuasion to get your feet moving to this bad boi!

Calvin can also be found sporting the new tune for Coke Cola's crazy new advert involving a piano, some furry creatures and alot of people in the style of the pied piper?? Random or what??

In other news gossip blogger Perez Hilton posted a series of Twitter messages early this morning claiming to have been assaulted by the Black Eyed Peas' will i am. I'm sure he probably dissevered it.
Chris Brown is appearing in court today on charges of assaulting his ex girlfriend Rihanna at the MTV awards a few months ago. Hopefully he'll get sent to prison and end up as some big guys bitch!

Back in the real world, I've suddenly been given a health kick by the big man up stairs. Badminton, twice in three days and gym time on the cards I'm not sure whats wrong, it must be all this sun!

O-M-G!, Its all about Jamie T!

Remember that 'Oh Shiela' song from a couple of years ago??
"Shiela goes out with her mate stella" etc . . . Well like Marmite, you either loved it or hated it! Personally I flipp'in loved that song, in fact I'd go as far as saying, back in the day, Jamie T's album was the best thing I'd bought for actual ages!
Well Mr T is back,

No not him!!!!
Buuuuuuuuttt Jamie T off of the music fame has a brand new up coming album. The first new song, which is doing the rounds on Radio One ATM is called 'Sticks & Stones'
Take a quick peek, maybe you'll like it??

. . . Or not, Hmmmmm?

Also Nick Grimshaw off of BBC's Switch has only gone and taken Colin Murry's late night show on Radio One. 10 o'clock is now dominated by Grimmers and you know what, It ain't half bad. You can also add Mr Grimshaw on Twitter (Recomended) at @Grimmers.
Amazing!

With the sunbathing-tastic weather coming to an end this weekend and my days off falling on the Friday/Saturday I'm wondering what trouble I should get myself into??
So far in the planner we have:-
Cinema on Friday night, with half of Clifden Rd, to watch the all new Terminator movie which is out TODAY! I've never really been into the whole Terminator cult, but my word this film looks rather epic.
Finish the Astra, maybe one day this year the spare parts I need will arrive via 'Snail Mail' and I can actually put it back on the road.
Thursday night is also looking rather amazing with the chef BBQ going off at one of the staff houses to say an official "bub'bye now" to Wez off of the kitchen. I may even enjoy some wine that night!
Also I'm trying out the new hairdressers!!!
May your prays be with me on Friday at 1pm when some stylist called Jenna is going to have a go on my mop. I hate changing hairdressers!! Its like putting your life in a surgeon's hands or giving your brand new Ferrari to your 17 year old son.
(Gulp!)

Keep adding me on Twitter people! (Nathanbee)
Laters Peep's!
